LYING HYPOCRITE OCCASIONAL-CORTEX LASHES OUT AFTER SHE’S SEEN WITH STAFFER CHOMPING ON HUGE HAMBURGER

Less than a week after raging against cow farts and urging Americans to stop eating so many hamburgers, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was caught oozing with hypocrisy.

On Tuesday night, an image scorched across Twitter showing Ocasio-Cortez and her chief of staff, Saikat Chakrabarti, sitting down for dinner together.

While sitting no more than a foot away, Ocasio-Cortez watched as Chakrabarti ordered a hamburger and chowed it down right in front of her.

Green New Deal Could Cost $93 Trillion

BLOOMBERG:

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s ambitious plan to fight climate change won’t be cheap, according to a Republican-aligned think tank led by a former Congressional Budget Office director.

The so-called Green New Deal may tally between $51 trillion and $93 trillion over 10-years, concludes American Action Forum, which is run by Douglas Holtz-Eakin, who directed the non-partisan CBO from from 2003 to 2005.

That includes between $8.3 trillion and $12.3 trillion to meet the plan’s call to eliminate carbon emissions from the power and transportation sectors and between $42.8 trillion and $80.6 trillion for its economic agenda including providing jobs and health care for all.

“The Green New Deal is clearly very expensive,” the group said in its analysis. “It’s further expansion of the federal government’s role in some of the most basic decisions of daily life, however, would likely have a more lasting and damaging impact than its enormous price tag.”

Backers of the plan say cost of inaction would be more expensive. The resolution itself, released earlier this month by Ocasio-Cortez and Massachusetts Democratic Senator Ed Markey points to a major report on global warming released by the United Nations last October that says catastrophic climate change could cost more than $500 billion annually in lost economic output in the U.S. by 2100.

“Any so-called ‘analysis’ of the #GreenNewDeal that includes artificially inflated numbers that rely on lazy assumptions, incl. about policies that aren’t even in the resolution is bogus,” Markey said on Twitter. “Putting a price on a resolution of principles, not policies, is just Big Oil misinformation.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez compared President Trump’s border barrier with the Berlin Wall – a Cold War symbol of Communist oppression that divided Germany for nearly three decades. “No matter how you feel about the wall, I think it’s a moral abomination,” Ocasio-Cortez said during a livestream video for her supporters last Friday, according to a report on Fox News. “I think it’s like the Berlin Wall. I think it’s like any other wall designed to separate human beings and block out people who are running away from the humanitarian disasters. I just think it’s wrong.”

Twitter users were quick to give Ocasio-Cortez, a self-described Democratic Socialist, a history lesson.

“Dear @AOC: Let me serve as your private professor here. The Berlin Wall was meant to keep people inside the socialist/communist utopia and stop them from fleeing to the decadent capitalist west,” posted Gad Saad. “So as the New Millennial Lenin, you might want to refrain from using this example.”

“@AOC Keep this up … and in the next election you will be history,” wrote Rajkundra.

The 29-year-old freshman lawmaker was talking to supporters about the criticism that has come her way since she defeated longtime incumbent Joe Crowley in last June’s Democratic primary election. She made her comments the same day Trump announced during a news conference in the Rose Garden that he was declaring a national emergency so he could shift funds from several federal agencies to get $8 billion to build his barrier after Congress approved only $1.3 billion.

While Trump wants to build his barrier to keep migrants from illegally crossing the border, the Berlin Wall was intended to keep people inside East Germany by preventing mass defections to freedom in the west.

Now, get this. To attract Amazon’s massive, colossal second headquarters (HQ2), in what amounted to a rare moment of participatory cooperation, NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio, both far-left Demo loons, offered Amazon $3B in tax incentives. Sounds good to me. In return, Amazon agreed to create at least 25,000 good-paying jobs ($150K and above) and to build a massive employee campus in what looks like war-torn Long Island City, Queens. Over the next 20 years, that $3B tax incentive would result in more than $25 billion in tax revenue. Well, it would have. But that's gone now. And lefty loons celebrate. Overall, over time, HQ2 would pour as much as a trillion dollars into New York’s economy — and not only through the salaries paid to the tech-savvy. This money would have trickled down to local stores and restaurants, not to mention the laborers required to build, clean, and maintain all that infrastructure.

What can you say about AOC (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez) that can’t be said about Stalin? Well, she probably would not kill millions of Americans directly, like Stalin did to the Russians. But, other than that, their policies mirror each other. Stalin promised healthcare for all and AOC promises Medicare for All. Stalin advocated for free college for all, and so does AOC. The Soviet constitution made housing a right. AOC says that housing is a basic human right. Remember, those Soviet programs led to mass starvation of the Russian people as would it in this country should enough people start believing that free stuff is really free.

The 29-year-old representative from New York was elected in November despite her affiliation with the far-left Democratic Socialists of America, and one doesn’t even need to dig into her past to figure out that she’s a proponent of socialism.

The representative’s campaign website outlined her ridiculous talking points for the entire world to see: Government-guaranteed medical care, housing, education — even jobs.

It might sound like a liberal dream, but her platform takes on a disturbing reality when readside-by-side with the constitution of the Soviet Union.

Keep in mind that the Soviet Union’s policies resulted in mass starvation, the gulag, poverty and suffering.

The Soviet Union guaranteed the “right to health protection,” including “free, qualified medical care provided by state health institutions.”

Ocasio-Cortez’s platform supports “Medicare for all,” which includes “full vision, dental, and mental healthcare.”

How socialism turned Venezuela from the wealthiest country in South America into an economic basket case

Venezuela was once the wealthiest country in South America, but in recent years millions have fled the country amid mass starvation and violence after socialist policies were enacted and government seized private industries.

Now, as Venezuelans struggle against the country’s current dictator, some Venezuelan exiles in the U.S. are desperately warning Americans to avoid going down a similar path.

“Socialism not only takes away from people the access to basic food and medicines, but also creates an environment in which life is worth nothing,” Giannina Raffo, who fled Venezuela in 2016 but who still works with activist organizations there, told Fox News.

Despite that situation in Venezuela, polls show Americans warming to the term “socialism” in recent years.

Venezuelans who have fled their country warn that their country’s history shows what others must watch for and avoid.

Venezuela’s journey to disaster began in 1992, when a Venezuelan lieutenant colonel named Hugo Chavez led several army units in a coup against the government. More than 100 people were killed in fighting, but his coup was defeated.

However, in the name of national unity, the government released Chavez from prison after just two years.

Chavez made many positive statements about socialism after his release from prison. Almost immediately after his release, he went to Cuba and spoke before the Cuban parliament and Fidel Castro, telling them: “I do not deserve this honor. I hope I will deserve it one day… We are committed to the revolutionary work.”

Last month, 28 year-old Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez shocked the world by defeating incumbent Rep. Joe Crowley to earn the Democratic nomination in New York’s 14th Congressional District.

Ocasio-Cortez gained notoriety nationwide not just for her youth, but for her unabashed embrace of Democratic Socialism.

In her official platform, Ocasio-Cortez offers support for free college, “housing as a human right”,  “medicare for all,” and a mandatory minimum living wage.

Wanting to know if her supporters liked the idea of Democratic Socialism, and if they’d support the government offering these services for free, I headed to Ocasio-Cortez’s district, in Astoria, NY.

People on the street were quick to offer support for Ocasio-Cortez’s brand of socialism, and overwhelmingly supported her vision for the district.

They were more hesitant, however, to offer ideas for how to pay for all of the free things that Ocasio-Cortez is promising.

“I don’t know where the money would come from, but they can figure it out,” one person stated confidently.

“Oh, God… Us, I guess,” conceded another.

One supporter seemed to think Americans would be okay with paying higher taxes, saying “with a good idea, and a good reason to spend their tax money, people wouldn’t actually mind paying more taxes.”

Another admitted that they’re not quite sure what it is that they like about Ocasio-Cortez’s economic philosophy, but insisted that “I just know that democratic socialist is better than conservative.”
